Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has hailed teammate Aaron Ramsey and believes his fitness levels are 'not normal'.

Ramsey has been in fine form this season and was once again on the score sheet as the Gunners beat Swansea City this past weekend and Wilshere, who also starred against the Swans, has praised his fellow midfielder.

When speaking of Ramsey, Wilshere told reporters: "His fitness levels are not normal.

"He's naturally so fit he can score at any time in the game. You can see that. He's pushing on in the 94th minute. Not many players can do that.

"He's got his confidence back, which is nice to see."

And, after an impressive start to the season for Ramsey, Wilshere believes the Welshman can further improve for the Gunners.

Wilshere believes his teammate is showing the right appetite to continue his development for Arsene Wenger's side.

Wilshere continued by saying: "If he carries on playing the way he is and working hard, he can improve further.

"He's got a great appetite for the game. He wants to improve. He's training all the time. He's not missing a training session, he's fit, he's young and he's showing his best form.

"Hopefully he can continue it and get even better."

Wilshere and Ramsey will both be hoping to star as Arsenal face Napoli at the Emirates in the Champions League tomorrow evening.

The Gunners then travel to West Brom next weekend and will be hoping to continue their great start to the season which currently sees them top of the Premier League table.
