After years of frustrating financial frugality at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal fans collectively rejoiced this summer after the club completed arguably the most impressive deal of an otherwise frantic window in the guise of German star Mesut Ozil.

Signing for a club-record fee of £42.5 million from La Liga giants Real Madrid on deadline day, the 24-year-old's arrival in North London has provided the catalyst for the Gunners' recently unstoppable form.

Although he was rather subdued during Saturday's hard-fought 2-1 win over Michael Laudrup's Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, he was still able to showcase his formidable skills in front of the Sky television cameras with an exquisite move prior to kick-off.

That aforementioned move did not involve a ball, however. Oh no. The former Werder Bremen star's delightful trick was completed with a simple piece of chewing gum.

During his routine warmup exercises, Ozil let the piece of gum fall towards the floor and flicked it into the air with one beautifully swift movement of his boot before catching it again in his mouth.
