Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha took to Twitter to hit out at the "childish rumours" that swept across the social media site yesterday.

Earlier this afternoon, Zaha, tweeted a short and swift response to various reports suggesting he had been caught sleeping with David Moyes' daughter.

He tweeted: "Silly rumours #childish."

While the 20-year-old ex-Crystal Palace star failed to explain what the message alluded to in particular, it's believed that Zaha's outburst was in response to these rumours.

Zaha has so far failed to make the breakthrough at Old Trafford, having completed a £15 million move to Manchester United in the summer.

And after being frozen out of the first-team picture by Moyes, much to the dismay of the Red Devils faithful, some reports suggested that Zaha's relationship with Moyes' daughter is the reason behind his omission.

Despite failing to force his way into Moyes' plans to date, Zaha scored and caught the eye in United's 4-0 Manchester Senior Cup final win over Bolton Wanderers reserves yesterday., the club's official website, described Zaha's performance as impressive, adding: "The ex-Crystal Palace winger twisted and turned his way into the box only to scoop off target and then set up Cole for a deflected drive that flew inches wide."
