Football News

Arsenal are one of England's most successful clubs and, with the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, now boast the Premier League's longest term and highly decorated manager.

Arsenal started off in in 1886 as Dial Square, a team created by workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich and went on to become the first southern team in the Football League. It wasn't until 1913 that they moved from Woolwich to Highbury, a stadium they played at for 93 years until their recent move to the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger is Arsenal's longest running manager having joined the club in 1996. Since then Arsenal have won the Premier League three times and the FA Cup four times, yet since their 2006 move to the Emirates Stadium the trophy cabinet has remained bare.

Arsenal do hold an impressive array of records though that keep the statisticians amongst us busy. The famous Invincibles team of who went unbeaten for all 38 Premier League matches, their league unbeaten run was actually 49 matches.

Whilst having never won the Champions League, they do hold the record for the most games without conceding a goal, a total of 995 minutes before Samuel Eto'o equalised for Barcelona in the final.

Their most capped player is still David O'Leary with an impressive 722 first team appearances, whilst Thierry Henry remains their top goal scorer with 228 goals in all competitions.

With that quick Arsenal statistic revision lesson over with it's time to play the quiz and see just how you rank amongst Arsenal's biggest fans, good luck!
