Paris St Germain star Lucas Digne has insisted that he doesn't regret not joining Liverpool this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The 20-year-old, who chose to sign for the French champions, was of high interest from Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, however a move to Anfield failed to materialise.

Digne is currently struggling to make the PSG first-team side, with competition for places at a high, but he believes his time will come.

The French Under 21 international has insisted that he can break into the side this season and knows there are more than enough games to prove his worth for the Ligue 1 outfit.

And, speaking to L'Equipe, the youngster said: "I knew that I would be competing with big players if I chose PSG. I think it would be sad to have any regrets after just one month.

"This season we will have 65-70 games, I know that my time will come."

Despite missing out on Digne, Liverpool were able to bring a number of other stars to Anfield this summer.

Rodgers signed stars Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Touré, Tiago Ilori and Simon Mignolet, amongst others and will be pleased with the club's strong start to the season.
