Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has revealed how he hopes for a move away from Aston Villa in January.
During the reign of Alex McLeish, Given was No.1 goalkeeper, playing nearly every game. However since the arrival of Paul Lambert he was then frozen out of things.
Brad Guzan was brought back, replacing the Irish goalkeeper as No.1, and he now is No.3 in the pecking order after the arrival of former Norwich keeper Jed Steer.
The Irishman admitted that it is very frustrating how he is not playing regularly and says that he will definitely be considering his options in the New Year
Given was quoted in The Sun on Sunday: "When you've played virtually every game throughout your career it's difficult - especially when you think you should still be playing.
"I'm disappointed I'm not involved and I'll just train hard until January and hope something comes up."
Given's last competitive game for Aston Villa was on January 25 against Millwall in the FA Cup.
