Chelsea's on-loan midfielder Marko Marin is facing up to the prospect of a month on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during training with Sevilla, reports

The 24-year-old has made 11 first-team appearances for Unai Emery's side, scoring two goals, since joining the Primera Division club in June, for the duration of the 2013/14 campaign.

However, Marin now looks set to be missing for three to four weeks of action, after an MRI scan revealed the damage to his left hamstring.

During that period, 11th placed Sevilla have for La Liga matches and two Europa League ties against Slovan Liberec.

The news will come as a cruel blow to the German, who had been looking to get his career back on track, after a frustrating spell at Stamford Bridge, having been on the periphery of the Chelsea first-team.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho opted to let Marin leave west London on loan, in the hope he can rediscover his form, and push for a place in the Premier League side next season.
