Manchester United outcast targeted by Juventus

Reigning Serie A champions Juventus are considering a shock loan swoop for Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha, according to talkSPORT.

20-year-old Zaha joined the Red Devils for a fee of approximately £15 million from Crystal Palace in January but was subsequently loaned back to Ian Holloway's side for the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign as the London club achieved promotion to the Premier League following a last-gasp victory over Watford in the playoff final at Wembley.

The England international, who has earned two senior international caps under Roy Hodgson, was retained by new United boss David Moyes prior to the start of the new domestic campaign and started in the Community Shield victory over Championship outfit Wigan Athletic in August.

However, his starting berth was short-lived and Zaha has not played a single minute for United's first team since that aforementioned victory.

The player's chronic lack of competitive action has seen him widely linked with a temporary switch away from the club when the transfer window re-opens for business in January, with a host of top-flight sides including Newcastle, Southampton, Palace and Fulham rumoured to be in the running for his services.

While a short-term move to another Premier League club seemed the most likely outcome for Zaha, it appears as if another and entirely more surprising option could well be on the horizon.

talkSPORT claim that Antonio Conte's Juventus - who currently lie third in Serie A - are keeping an eye on the tricky winger's current predicament and could make a loan bid in the new year.
