Brazilian wonderkid Bruno Gomes has hinted on his official Twitter account that he could sign for Manchester United today, reports Sport Witness.

The 17-year-old Desportivo Brazil starlet has been heavily linked with the Premier League champions for some time, ever since Sir Alex Ferguson put a deal in place to take the player on his 18th birthday.

New Red Devils boss David Moyes is understood to be keen to push through the South American forward's transfer to Old Trafford, amid increasing interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Udinese, and Sao Paulo in his signature.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Manchester United were closing in on the talented teenager, and now Gomes has given the clearest indication yet, that he could be about to link up with the Premier League giants.

"Hello my friends!!! Today, will be great day!! Bye" Gomes tweeted earlier today. Then moments later added: "Hello my fans of Manchester United!!! How time…"

Gomes then proceeded to retweet many Manchester United supporters either asking if he'd put pen to paper, or welcoming him to the club.

The youngster and his representatives do have history of spinning a yarn or two, via their social media activity, with his father and agent also having previously sent speculation into overdrive when they retweeted any report linking Gomes with Manchester United.

It's a long drawn out transfer saga that has continued to rumble on, but if the player's latest tweets are to be believed, the end could be just around the corner!
