Promising youngster Abdul Razak has left Manchester City to join Anzhi Makhachkala on a permanent deal.
The Ivory Coast international, 20, had initially joined Anzhi on loan, but the move was made permanent after making his first appearance for the club against CSKA Moscow.
Midfielder Razak was tipped for success following his move from Crystal Palace to Man City in 2010, but first team opportunities proved to be hard to come by - and made only seven appearances during his three-year stint at the club.
During that time he featured for three different sides in loan moves - Portsmouth, Brighton and most recently Charlton - before moving to the Russian Premier League side.
He failed to make an impression at any of these sides, making just 11 league appearances across the three stints, failing to score a goal.
It has not been confirmed whether the Citizens will receive a fee for Razak's transfer.
A statement on the club's website read: "Everyone at the club would like to wish Abdul all the best in his future career."
Manchester City travel to Upton Park this weekend to face West Ham in the Premier League.
