Kurt Zouma has shed some light on his plans for the near future, revealing that he wants to stay at St. Etienne for another year, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.

The highly rated 18-year-old is being tracked by a host of European giants, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Monaco, but is keen to continue his development at his current side.

Zouma is fast becoming one of the most sought after properties in Europe with his performances for St. Etienne and has been tipped by manager Didier Deschamps as a future France captain.

However any potential suitors will have to wait at least a year until they can hope to see him in their team's colours.

Zouma said: "I read or hear certain things, my family I sometimes speak. I am focusing solely on the game.

"My desire is to play here a year make good games and try to win another title with the club."

Zouma is currently rated at around £10million and despite St. Etienne yesterday stating that they were not in a position where they needed to sell the young centre-back, the club did admit they would consider parting ways with him if a lucrative offer came in.
