Arsenal club-captain Thomas Vermaelen believes Aaron Ramsey is currently the Premier League's best player.

The Welsh international has started the season in fine form and continued his great run with another goal in the Gunners' 4-1 thrashing of Norwich City yesterday afternoon.

Ramsey's impressive form earned him the most recent Premier League's Player of the Month award and he has continued to play a key role for Arsene Wenger's side this season.

And, now he's received high praise from his teammate Vermaelen.

The Gunners skipper told The Sunday Mirror: "Aaron is doing incredibly well.

"He showed it again against us (Belgium) in midweek with his goal.

"He is the best player in the Premier League at the moment.

"He is scoring goals and looking really sharp with his passing.

"He's doing extremely well. He's been unbelievable for us.

"He got the Player of the Month award, scoring goals, playing well and showing he is important for us.

However, Vermaelen expects Ramsey to continue to improve and get even better in a Gunners shirt.

He continued by saying: "There is more to come from him because he is young."

Next up for Arsenal is a Champions League clash with the last year's finalists Borussia Dortmund.

And, after a great start to their European campaign, Arsenal will be hoping for another three points at the Emirates and once again Ramsey will be hoping to prove the difference.
