Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha is a loan target for former club Crystal Palace, according to talkSPORT.

Zaha left Ian Holloway's side after playing a vital role in their successful promotion campaign in the Championship last season, but has so far struggled to make any sort of impact at Old Trafford, seeing his game time severely restricted.

The 20-year-old hasn't played a minute of first-team football since his appearance in the Community Shield in August, and has subsequently been linked with a number of loan moves in January, including transfers to Newcastle and Juventus.

However it now seems that ex-club Palace are set to get involved in the race for his services, having seen a last minute summer bid to bring him back refused.

Holloway has always been quick to praise Zaha and, with his side struggling near the foot of the Premier League table, may view the youngster as the injection of pace and ability that his team need to give them a boost before they fall too far out of sight.

"The coincidence that he was our player and joined Man United is wearing on me a bit," the newly-promoted manager said.

"The boy is sorely missed at our football club because of the belief he used to give us. The emergence of (Adnan) Januzaj hasn't helped Wilf.

"Good luck to him and we will revisit that if and when we might see fit."
