Top 10: In-form Premier League sides 2013/14 (1)

Arsenal moved clear at the top of the Premier League table following their emphatic 4-1 victory over Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

After a shock home defeat at the hands of Aston Villa on the opening day of the season, Arsene Wenger's side have gone from strength-to-strength in the early part of the new campaign, and are unquestionably the form team in England's top-flight this year.

Meanwhile, defending champions Manchester United couldn't be further from the Premier League pacesetters, after they succumbed to another frustrating 1-1 draw with Southampton at Old Trafford at the weekend.

David Moyes's side don't even make the top 10 when it comes to the division's in-form sides, and with just one victory from their past four domestic outings, confidence is already dwindling in the post-Ferguson era.

Of course, with 32 games still to play in 2013/14, the opening three months provide only an indicator for what might follow, and how the table will actually look next May.

There are, inevitably, a number of twists and turns still to come, and plenty of time for in-form teams to drop off the pace, and equally out-of-sorts sides to galvanise and regain momentum.

But, for now, let's use the early season barometer, and check out the top 10 form sides in the Premier League, based on results from their past five games.
