Either Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Cristiano Ronaldo will not be participating in the 2014 World Cup, after Sweden and Portugal were drawn against each other in the World Cup playoffs.
To date, the nations have faced each other15 times. Portugal has won only three of the meetings, lost six times, and drew the other six.
Elsewhere, France will be up against the Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine as they fight for their place at next summer's tournament.
Les Bleus have taken on the Ukrainians sevens times, with Didier Deschamps' men winning four times, and drawing the other three matches.
However, Deschamps stated that the Eastern Europeans aren't to be taken lightly.
He told reporters: "Portugal and Croatia are nations with experience, but it will not be easy against a team who are undefeated in their last seven matches and concede very few goals," he said.
"Having the second leg at home is a good thing for us. These four days will decide our future. We need a lot of confidence but also a lot of respect for the Ukrainian team."
Lastly, Romania take on Euro 2004 winners Greece, while the underdogs, Iceland, face Luka Modric and Croatia.
The first legs of World Cup Qualifier Playoffs will be played on the 15th of November, with the second leg set to be played just four days later on the 19th.
