Barcelona forward Neymar says he wants to have a great debut in his first El Clasico against Real Madrid on Saturday, according to Goal.
Neymar is relishing the chance to shine at the Camp Nou, by helping Barca beat the side he turned down in the summer.
“El Clasico is the most important game for any player," he told the club's official website.
"It’s the match every player wants to play in, and is the game where each player wants to play his best football.
"This will be my first Clasico and I hope to have a great debut, preferably with a victory."
Neymar's first memories of this historic derby was when fellow Brazilian, Ronaldinho, tormented Madrid.
“I remember the Clasico, I believe it was in 2005, when Ronaldinho scored two goals," said the 21 year-old.
"That's the Barca-Madrid match I remember most.”
The €57m summer signing says he won't feel any more pressure than normal, despite it being his first Clasico.
“I think the anxiety is the same before any match. I understand that we’re talking about a very important Clasico but I think that butterfly-in-the-stomach feeling is the same before any game." He said.
Neymar also said he has spoken to his fellow international team-mate and Madrid defender Marcelo ahead of the game and says the result will not affect their relationship.
“Marcelo and I have talked a little bit about the Clasico. We have a fantastic relationship, he’s a good friend, but I told him that Barcelona are going to win,” he added.
Neymar's Barca are sitting pretty at the top of La Liga, having won eight of their opening nine matches. Prior to the draw with Osasuna at the weekend, Gerardo Martino's side had maintained a perfect record in the league.
Madrid on the other hand are in third place, and have struggled to look as impressive thus far as they did during Jose Mourinho's stint in charge.
