Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has rubbished talk of poor form ahead of Saturday's huge clash with Real Madrid, according to the Guardian.
Saturday's game will be the Argentine's first Clasico, and he is in a confident mood with his table-topping Catalan side currently three points clear of third-placed Madrid - with the opportunity to increase that gap to six points when they host their fierce rivals.
Speaking of the club's recent stalemates with Osasuna and AC Milan, Martino said: "I have no doubts about the team's ability to perform. I would have liked to beat Osasuna and Milan but we're doing well and we're still growing.
"Our play hasn't got worse and I don't think we've regressed."
A defensive mix-up between Gerard Pique and Marc Bartra handed Milan the lead on ten minutes, with Robinho capitalising on the pair's miscommunication.
Lionel Messi dragged Barca level 13 minutes later after being found by Andres Iniesta, but no winner could be found.
Despite the error at the back, Martino felt a point was scant reward for his team's efforts last night.
"It's a good point but we deserved more, we only lacked intensity in the first 15 minutes and our punishment was too severe," he added. "Against teams that close themselves off at the back it's easier to score when you recover possession rather than making short passes which gives your opponent time to reorganise."
Nevertheless, they remain top of Group H and would qualify for the knockout stages with a win over the Italian side at the Nou Camp.
