Juventus star suffers epic fail - goes down under 'ghost' tackle

Juventus star Arturo Vidal is recognised as one of the best players in world football.

However, the Chilean international had a moment to forget during his side’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

With the Serie 'A' champions trailing 2-1 and down to ten-men, the Bianconeri were searching for a lifeline to get back in the game.

And, Vidal thought he'd got it when he took a dramatic tumble in the penalty box.

However, the playmaker had one key problem - nobody was anywhere near him when he kicked the ground and theatrically hit the deck.

That didn't stop Vidal claiming a penalty, with the 26-year-old appealing to the referee for a spot-kick.

Unsurprisingly the answer was no, with Cristiano Ronaldo's brace proving to be enough for Los Blancos, despite Fernando Llorente's strike at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It's Vidal going down under the 'ghost tackle' which has tickled us in the GiveMeSport office however, and you can enjoy it at the top of the story...
