Carlos Tevez scored Juventus' second goal in their 2-0 league win over Genoa this afternoon.

The former Manchester United and City striker struck in the 36th minute to help his side retain their third place position in Serie A.

Juventus took the lead from the spot in the 23rd minute when Chiliean midfielder Arturo Vidal converted from 12-yards.

29-year-old Tevez, who signed for Juve in the summer after leaving Eastlands, bagged his fourth league goal in seven games just 13 minutes later.

The Argentine forward scored 11 league goals in the Premier League last season and was a surprise departure from City  - despite his previous personal problems at the club.

His Juventus side remain five points behind leaders Roma - who extended their winning run to nine games with a 1-0 away win over Udinese.

Tevez will return to league action on Wednesday night when his side host Catania in Turin.
