Barcelona look set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to talkSPORT

The Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper, who has impressed in the Bundesliga, was linked with a move to Premier League leaders Arsenal, however it now looks like the Catalan giants will secure a move for the star.

Barcelona have been targeting a new goalkeeper with Victor Valdes set to depart the Nou Camp at the end of the season, and reports have now suggested the Spanish outfit have agreed a deal to sign him in the summer.

It has been reported Barcelona's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has lined up an £8 million pre-contract agreement for the shot-stopper.

This will come as a blow to the Gunners as they were ready to increase the competition for their Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Arsene Wenger will now be hoping Szczesny continues his fine form from this past weekend as he kept a clean sheet against Crystal Palace.
