Tottenham are hoping for a double injury boost on Wednesday night, according to talkSPORT.

Reports are claiming that Spurs pair Etienne Capoue and Younes Kaboul could make their comebacks from injury in the club's Capital One Cup clash with Hull.

Andre Villas-Boas will see the duo's return as a timely boost for his squad, as Spurs face Hull at White Hart Lane for the second time in four days.

After an unconvincing performance in Sunday's fixture - which led to Villas-Boas bizarrely criticising fans for his side's lacklustre performance - Capoue and Kaboul's return will be a welcome sight.

Summer signing Capoue has started just two league games for the club since his £9million switch this summer.

The Frenchman was injured in Spurs' derby defeat to Arsenal in September, but has recently resumed training.

Kaboul, meanwhile, hasn't started a game in the Premier League since the opening day of last season.

The former Portsmouth defender suffered a serious injury but his return to training puts him in contention for the fourth round tie on Wednesday.

It is believed Villas-Boas will use the cup game to build up the pair's fitness ahead of their Premier League game with Everton at the weekend.
