With the annual Hell in a Cell now over, plenty of news has been coming out of the WWE involving the likes of Shawn Michaels, Kane and rumoured Survivor Series matches, so let’s get to it.
Obviously, this article will contain a number of spoilers, if you wish to avoid them, please turn back now.
A HBK ring return?: If you guessed that Shawn Michael’s involvement in the corporate storyline would eventually result in a potential match down the line, one; it would be a good guess and two; you would be wrong.
Although Shawn Michaels abused his powers at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, there are no plans whatsoever to have Michaels come out of retirement and wrestle in a match, no matter who the opponent is.
This would definitely be a good thing, the odd sporadic appearance from The Heart Break Kid is always nice to see, but competing again would definitely belittle his final match against The Undertaker which effectively ‘ended his career’.
Heat on Ryback: Ryback’s fortunes looked set to turn around, ever since his failed heel turn he has not been as relevant as he was billed up to be, but his recent alliance with one Paul Heyman could have changed that, but now there are reports that there is a lot of heat on Ryback for over a month now. His in-ring work has not been up to scratch, he looks lazier and it is felt that he is becoming a danger to guys he competes with, such as CM Punk who has been affected.
His recent media appearances have not been great either, as he acts like he does not want to be there, understandably he remains in character but it is his increasingly growing ego which officials cannot handle, so much so that Vince McMahon is considering taking Paul Heyman off of Ryback, so Heyman can work with a different wrestler.
WWE Pay-Per-View leaks continue: All wrestling fans must have heard of Dolphins1925, the infamous Reddit user who ‘predicts’ all match results and gets them right, as his source provides the leaks and he did a good job of getting the results right once more. He predicted every single match outcome correctly, making only one mistake.
He posted that Damien Sandow would cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase after John Cena defeats Alberto Del Rio, only for it not to happen. He stated that it was either misinformation from his source, or the fact that writers changed the decision to have Sandow cash it in.
Kane gives up the mask: If you tuned in to Monday Night Raw this past Monday you would have seen Kane handing his mask over to Stephanie McMahon, and later Tweeting that it ‘was best for business’.
The reason for this is because Kane has just finished filming See No Evil 2, and he does not wear a mask in the film, so officials have opted to remove the mask from him, so we could be seeing Kane performing without the mask indefinitely.
Rumoured Survivor Series matches: With Hell in a Cell now over attentions now turn to Survivor Series, and already a number of matches have been rumoured to take place at the event.
A Tag Team Title match where Cody Rhodes and Goldust are set to defend their gold in a four-way tag match, with the likes of The SHIELD, The Real Americans and a fourth team involved, the safest bet at this stage will be The Usos. In the World Heavyweight Championship match, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio are set to have a rematch from Hell in a Cell.
The WWE Championship match will see Randy Orton defend the belt against The Big Show, and a four on four Survivor Series Tag Match could see Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and potentially Kane, taking on Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and perhaps The Miz and an additional partner.
Remember, these are only rumoured, matches can change at any given time.
