Barcelona are yet to agree a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach for goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, reports Marca.
The young goalkeeper has been earmarked as a replacement for Victor Valdes, who is set to leave the Nou Camp when his contract expires next summer.
Reports emerged that Barcelona were on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Stegen in an £8m deal but Marca insists a fee is still yet to be agreed.
The La Liga champions have offered €8m plus €2m in performance related add-ons but it is believed the Bundesliga outfit are holding out for €12m.
News of Barcelona stalling over a deal will come as a boost to Arsenal, who reportedly made a late bid to sign the 21-year-old in the summer.
The Daily Star reported that Arsene Wenger made the late bid in an attempt to find competition for Wojciech Szczesny and eventually signed Emiliano Viviano on loan instead.
The Gunners have a strong presence of German stars at the Emirates already with Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker Serge Gnabry and Lukas Podolski all starring in the first team this season.
Stegen, however, remains a firm target for Barcelona and the club's director of football is believed to be in Germany with the intention of sealing a deal for the promising young goalkeeper.
