Chelsea confirm Bertrand Traore signing

Chelsea have announced that they have reached an agreement for the signing of Bertrand Traore.

The 18-year-old, who impressed during Chelsea's pre-season tour of Asia after being taken on as a trialist, has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Europa League winners.

Traore scored two goals for the Blues in the summer - one neat finish against a Malaysia XI and a beautiful left-footed curling effort against an Indonesia All-Star XI.

He has already appeared ten times for the Burkina Faso national team and is widely regarded as one of the most promising midfielders to emerge from Africa in recent years.

Traore enhanced his bourgeoning reputation after starring at the Africa Under-17s Championship, which Burkina Faso won, in 2011. And made his debut for the senior side in the same year - at the tender age of 15.

Will Traore feature for the Chelsea first team this season? Will he be loaned out to another European club? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
