Arsenal have a number of players in contention for their official Player of the Month award.

Whilst fans can vote for any player on the Gunners’ website, there are a number of names in the frame to scoop the coveted prize – won by Aaron Ramsey in September.

The Welshman is likely to be in contention once again for October, after a fine individual goal in the 4-1 win over Norwich.

Mesut Ozil also bagged a brace in the victory at the Emirates Stadium, as well as a goal in the Champions League win over Napoli.

The German is likely to be favourite to win the award, although striker Olivier Giroud has again had a fine month for Arsenal.

He scored against Crystal Palace in the league and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League – as well as setting-up Jack Wilshere for ‘that’ goal against the Canaries.

The England international has been under some scrutiny at Arsenal this term, but he also scored an important equaliser for the table-toppers against West Brom at the start of the month.

If defence is more your thing, then Wojciech Szczesny has been in fine form between the sticks for the Gunners, whilst Kieran Gibbs has also impressed at full-back.
