Kirkland confident over future fitness

Football News
Out-of-favour Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has told any interested clubs "you won´t signing a crock" as he looks to build a new career away from Anfield.

Kirkland has suffered a kidney injury and a broken finger during a season-long loan with West Brom which has ended prematurely because of the latter setback. But the 24-year-old believes he has proved the major worry - a serious back problem which blighted his time on Merseyside - is no longer cause for concern at The Hawthorns.

Kirkland told PA Sport: "The one plus I take out of this season is that I had a lot to prove - and I think I´ve done that. I´ve not missed any matches with my back at all. I´ve missed the odd day´s training when it has been stiff and I´ve just taken precautions but I´ve not missed any games."
