Real Sociedad manager Jagoba Arrasate believes his side can beat Premier League champions Manchester United tonight, reports the Daily Mirror

Sociedad, who were beaten at Old Trafford a fortnight ago by a goal to nil, are in need of victory as they look to stay in the running for qualification to the knockout stages.

And their boss Arrasate has called upon his players to beat David Moyes' side tonight.

Speaking to reporters, the Sociedad boss said: "If we do things right and get close to our game plan we can win.

"United have qualification in their sights and are playing away from home so we don't know how they'll approach [the game].

"We have to try to play our normal game and take the initiative – if we can get close to doing what we want and do our jobs well, as we have been doing, I think we can get the better of United."

Arrasate admitted that United were the better team when the two sides met at Old Trafford, however he believes his side have more than enough about them to cause an upset.

The Sociedad boss believes if his side improve then they can claim the victory in Spain tonight.

He continued by saying: "We've improved our league form – we've got more points and more goals now, so in that sense we are more confident.

"United were superior in England although I think we can do things better.

"We know they're a very tough opponent. We respect them and we're really excited about trying to put in a good performance and beat them."

United will be desperate to secure the three points which will put them on 10 points in group A and edge them nearer to the Round of 16.
