Manchester United could miss out on Dortmund pair Ilkay Gundogan and Marco Reus, as they are both set to be offered new contracts by Borussia Dortmund, according to Le 10 Sport.
The German duo, who have both been linked with a number of top European outfits, have continued to set the Bundesliga on fire this year and Dortmund are fearing that they could lose them both in the coming transfer windows.
Reus, whose current contract has a release clause of around £30million, is the subject of interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal, and it was reported earlier this week that his club were set to offer him a lucrative pay rise to convince him to stay.
And now it seems that Gundogan too, who is valued at around £25million, will be offered a pay rise to put off any potential suitors.
If the situation is left untreated then Dortmund will undoubtedly receive strong offers for both men and, with Jurgen Klopp having only recently signed an extension that will keep him at the club until 2018, they won't want Reus or Gundogan to follow Lewandowski in leaving the club.
