The agent of reported Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has addressed recent rumours regarding his client, saying that it is natural for the Real Sociedad star to attract attention from big clubs.
In an exclusive interview with the International Business Times, the 22-year-old winger's representative, Iñaki Ibáñez, explained that he is not surprised about the increasing amount of speculation.
"Griezmann is a very important player," he said. "It is common that he catches the attention of the big clubs."
Red Devils boss David Moyes has been credited with an interest in bringing Griezmann to Old Trafford, as he looks to strengthen his squad when the transfer window reopens in January.
Speculation mounted earlier this week when quotes were attributed to the player, via his official Twitter account, where he seemingly confirmed that Manchester United had been monitoring him.
"I know that some English clubs are looking at me and Manchester United is on that list," he was alleged to have said, as reported by the Daily Express. "It's nice to hear that but it doesn't influence my work."
Despite denying those quotes, it's easy to see why Europe's elite clubs are looking at Griezmann, given that he's scored seven goals in just 10 La Liga appearances in 2013/14, including six in his last four games.
His fine form puts him among the hottest frontmen on the continent at the moment, but Sevilla might still struggle to get an offer that meets his £36million buyout clause, given that Griezmann is still relatively unproven.
