Manchester United boss is keen on adding Real Madrid star Sami Khedira to his ranks, reports the Daily Star.

The German international revealed shortly after the summer transfer window that Manchester United made a £34m bid for the 26-year-old, which was subsequently rejected.

However reports suggest Manchester United are willing to renew their interest in the former Stuttgart man, as David Moyes remains keen on bolstering his midfield options.

The former Everton boss, who was keen on signing the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Daniele De Rossi and Ander Herrera during the summer transfer window, brought in Marouane Fellaini for £27.5million on the last day of the window.

However the central midfielder has so far failed to settle into life at Manchester United, which has forced Moyes into stepping up his search for a midfield enforcer.

In fact, Moyes is so keen on bringing Khedira to Old Trafford that he recently sent Manchester United coach Phil Neville to watch Real Madrid's home game against Sevilla.
