Adnan Januzaj can inspire Manchester United to Arsenal win

For the first time in years Manchester United entertain Arsenal at Old Trafford knowing the Gunners are favourites to win.

Where has this turnaround come from?

In the same fixture last season, Manchester United won 2-1 but a dominant United performance showed a vast gap between the two teams.

Now the Red Devils have lost their legendary leader Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal have signed inspiration Mesut Ozil and the tables have turned.

But hope is not lost for David Moyes at Old Trafford. In the form of Adnan Januzaj, they have their own source of inspiration, an unknown quantity and possibly their best chance of getting a result against the in-form table toppers Arsenal.

Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has never faced the player and, until last month, he'd probably never heard of him either. Although probably studying videos of the Belgium-born starlet, he will have little idea on how to handle him.

With pace and trickery to burn, the lumbering French full-back may struggle to deal with Januzaj. He struggled against United last year at the Emirates, giving the ball away to Robin van Persie before fouling him to gift the former-Arsenal player a penalty.

With Januzaj running at him for 90 minutes, he will struggle to redeem himself.

But once Januzaj has dealt with Sagna, he'll have the imposing 6ft 6in Per Mertesacker to deal with.

The German international has been in good form this season, but he relies on his experience and his preparation to make up for his lack of pace and agility.

Januzaj's lack of reputation and, therefore, the lack of available highlights to analyse gives him the edge over these defenders.

He started against Fulham and the defenders again had little answer for him. They just didn't know what to expect.

That will be the same for Arsenal and, whilst they prepare their tactics to deal with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, it is likely Januzaj will go somewhat unnoticed.

For anyone familiar with Januzaj's ability, that underestimation could come back to bite Wenger and his Arsenal side come Sunday afternoon.
