Arsenal to spend €15m on City star in January

Arsenal could make an offer of €15million for Manchester City right-back Micah Richards in the winter transfer window, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.

Richards has struggled for game-time since Manuel Pellegrini this season, only making two Premier League appearances, and has largely been considered second-choice behind Pablo Zabaleta.

This has raised cause for speculation surrounding a potential exit from the Etihad, particularly in the wake of rumoured interest from Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger looking to secure a long-term replacement should Bacary Sagna depart at the end of the season.

And now, if reports are to be believed, Wenger could move for the disillusioned Richards in January, with a fee of around €15million being mooted for his services.

The full-back has reiterated his desire to finish his career with the Citizens and is under contract until 2015, but will definitely be considering his options with the World Cup just around the corner.
