West Brom are insisting Geoff Horsfield´s move to Sheffield United is already a "done deal" despite the Blades claiming they are to investigate ways of terminating the striker´s switch from The Hawthorns to Bramall Lane.

Albion are adamant the transfer of Horsfield - for £1.25 million after an initial loan period with the Blades - will stand unless they can find an alternative club to take over the deal.

Albion told PA Sport: "West Bromwich Albion have a done deal with Sheffield United regarding Geoff Horsfield, which covers the striker´s loan until the end of the season and his permanent transfer - for an already agreed fee - on July 1."
