Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed a boost in the race to sign West Brom forward Saido Berahino, reports the Metro.
Berahino has reportedly refused to sign a new deal, which has alerted the attention of Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea.
The West Brom forward, who is currently away with England Under 21s, has been in fine form for the Baggies so far this season.
Berahino bagged a hat-trick on his first game of the season against Newport County and has since scored against Arsenal, Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old's current £850 a week deal runs out in 18 months and he is said to have rejected the chance of signing a new £7,000-a-week contract to stay at The Hawthorns.
West Brom boss Steve Clarke is said to be keen on tying Berahino down on a new long-term contract, but the former Chelsea coach may be forced into cashing in on the starlet in January or next summer.
