Miami Heat star LeBron James scored 33 points to help his side beat Milwaukee Bucks 118-95 on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old forward showed that he has fully recovered from a back injury to score 17 points in the third quarter.

James, who said his side's defence were 's**t' in the aftermath of the Miami Heat's 111-110 defeat to the Boston Celtics on Saturday, admitted that he is still yet to fully recover from a back injury.

"It's getting better," James told USA today. "It feels a lot better. Still a little sore … getting a lot of work put on it so I can get to 100 percent.

"But it's getting better every day and that's a good thing."

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra praised his side's 'competitive spirit' after the game but called on his side to improve their attention to detail and discipline.

The Heats face two games in quick succession at the end of the week, as James' side face Dallas Mavericks on Friday and take on Charlotte Bobcats this Saturday.

James' side are currently sitting in second spot - narrowly behind Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference - having won five of their eight games.
