Despite some claiming that the lucrative Champions League has now surpassed it in terms of sheer reputation, the World Cup remains football's most coveted prize.

In an age where club football appears to have become far more prominent than its international counterpart, the World Cup still has an awesome power to bring nations together in a mass celebration of the wonders of the beautiful game.

With the Premier League now boasting a vast and wide array of talent from all different countries and cultures, it is surely inevitable that many of the players likely to light up the 2014 edition in beautiful Brazil currently ply their trade in the English top-flight.
