Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha may be providing direct competition for Luis Nani at Manchester United these days, but the Portuguese winger is full of praise for the club's young duo.

Januzaj has established himself as arguably the most impressive teenage talent in the Premier League at present, and his performances have prompted last season's champions to tie him down to a lucrative new contract.

Zaha, meanwhile, was a high-profile acquisition in the January transfer window, although he only completed his move to Old Trafford after Sir Alex Ferguson had been replaced by David Moyes.

The 20-year-old has yet to be used by his manager in the league this term, but Nani has backed Zaha to be given more of an opportunity to show his worth the campaign progresses.

Both Zaha and Januzaj are now competing alongside Nani for a place on the flanks in the Manchester United first team, with the Portugal international himself far from a guaranteed starter.

He does, however, bear no grudges towards this pair of Red Devils starlets, and believes both are primed for excellent careers at Old Trafford.

“They are both great players and have showed great character,” Nani told “They both have good personalities as well.

“They have been given a chance to play in the first team and have impressed because they have lots of quality. It is normal for a young player to show good things when they have the right personality and mentality.”
