ST - Heung-Min Son - 78

Football News

Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son became the first South Korean player to score a Bundesliga hat-trick last weekend, starring in a 5-3 victory over former club Hamburg.

Son was on target just nine minutes into an eight-goal thriller at the BayArena, before doubling his tally seven minutes later.

Sami Hyppia's side then threatened to throw away their early advantage but Son stepped up to secure all three points in the second half, completing his hat-trick on 55 minutes before setting up strike partner Stefan Kiessling soon after.

On this evidence Europe's top clubs will once again be sniffing around the 21-year-old in January, who has quickly become a firm favourite at Leverkusen.
