CB - Wes Brown - 78

Football News

Sunderland defender Wes Brown enjoyed a fine return to form on Sunday, proving his worth to nullify Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo as Gus Poyet's side emerged victorious against Manchester City.

Brown has spent a considerable portion of his Sunderland career sidelined by a knee but returned in some style at the Stadium of Light last weekend, on his first Premier League start in 22 months.

The 34-year-old rolled back the years with a display full of authority and desire, helping the Mackems earn only their second Premier League win of the season at the expense of title-chasing City.
