Cristiano Ronaldo believes Wayne Rooney's hair makes him beautiful, reports The Metro.

The Portuguese ace is currently preparing for Portugal's crunch World Cup play-off with Sweden, but he has taken time out to answer the light hearted question about his former teammate.

And, the Real Madrid superstar was extremely complimentary of Rooney despite admitting the Red Devils forward used to be a little bit ugly.

Speaking to Shortlist Magazine, Ronaldo said: "[Wayne Rooney] has his own style,’ he reflected. ‘But with his hair he looks much better. He looks very good now. Before he was a little bit ugly, but now, with hair, he’s beautiful."

Wayne Rooney, like Ronaldo is on international duty this week, however the United forward doesn't have the pressure of trying to qualify for Brazil as England's place is already booked for next summer's tournament.

Rooney will be looking to continue his impressive run of form so far this season as he plays for the Three Lions on Friday.

The Manchester United ace put in a man of the match performance in his last fixture and now may be further boosted by Ronaldo's compliments...
