EA Sports have unveiled their latest "Next Gen" trailer for FIFA 14 featuring Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

Along with the brand new video, fans can also feast their eyes on a life-size super-realistic avatar of the great man - the first of its kind - on a new website.

With the launch of the two new consoles - the PlayStation 4 and the XBox One - on the horizon, EA Sports are busy showing off just how good their game will look.

Along with the trailer is the new website, which allows users to interact with a realistic-looking avatar of Messi.

"We wanted to do something that felt as new and as realistic as FIFA 14 on the next generation of consoles," explained interactive producer Andrew Allen.

"The trends of flat design, sparse content and plenty of white space didn't seem to cut it.

"We wanted to show, not tell, people how exciting the new game is and the best way we could think to do this was with a hyper-realistic, life-size, 3D version of the new avatar - big, bold and soulful in your web browser."

FIFA 14 launched earlier this year and leapt straight to the top of the charts, although first-week sales were over 20% down in FIFA 13.

The game will be available on Xbox One on November 22, and PS4 on November 29.
