Patrice Evra will wait and see if Manchester United pursue Leighton Baines again in January before committing his long term future to the club, reports the Manchester Evening News

Evra, who runs out of contract at the Theatre of Dreams in the summer, has yet to decide whether he will stay on at Old Trafford past this season.

David Moyes was desperate to land Everton full-back Leighton Baines this past summer, however the United boss failed in his attempts to bring the England international to Old Trafford.

But with reports suggesting Manchester United are ready to enter the market once again for Baines in January, Evra will now wait before extending his stay with the club.

Evra has been a constant figure at Manchester United over the past few years, but now could depart Moyes' side in the summer.

The Red Devils full-back will be hoping to feature as Manchester United take on Cardiff City this weekend.
