Charlton Athletic have set their sights on highly-rated Manchester United defender Michael Keane, according to the South London Press.
The England U21 international enjoyed a successful season-long loan spell at Championship rivals Leicester City in 2012/13, and could become available for a similar stint this campaign.
Red Devils boss David Moyes is understood to have high hopes for Keane - whose twin brother Will is also a product of the club's youth academy - but given the competition for first-team places at Old Trafford, will allow the 20-year-old to leave on loan again, to experience more regular football.
Chris Powell has already made clear his intention to strengthen his Addicks squad, and is targeting a new arrival in both central defence and attack.
Swansea's Alan Tate and former Crystal Palace defender Fitz Hall have been touted as alternative centre-back options, but it's thought that the Manchester United starlet remains top of Charlton's transfer wish list.
