David Luiz says he is not yet worried about his future at Chelsea despite losing his place in Jose Mourinho's starting XI.

Luiz played a key part in the team under Rafa Benitez last season, but has since found his spot usurped by Gary Cahill and a resurgent John Terry.

The Brazilian has vowed to work hard to force his way in to Mourinho's plans.

Manchester United striker Will Keane's proposed loan move to Wigan Athletic has been put on hold after the 20-year-old sustained a foot injury whilst on international duty with the England under-21s.

The temporary move would have seen Keane join team mate Nick Powell at the DW Stadium, but David Moyes will not release him until the extent of the damage can be determined.

Another player injured on international duty was Arsenal star Jack Wilshere, who returned to the Gunners with a knock to his troublesome ankle.

It is understood that Arsene Wenger, who requested that the 21-year-old be rested for at least one of England's two games, is prepared to confront the FA over the matter.

Tottenham midfielder Sandro believes stopping Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho will go a long way to helping them get a good result against the Citizens.

Sandro will face up to his Brazilian compatriot at the Etihad stadium on Sunday but has challenged his team mates to come away from Manchester with an unlikely three points.

Manuel Pellegrini says dropped goalkeeper Joe Hart is still in need of a rest despite his impressive display for England against Germany on Tuesday night.

Hart was a standout performer for the Three Lions despite the 1-0 loss, but Pellegrini has suggested further time on the City bench will do him good.

Barcelona's injury crisis seems to be getting deeper by the day as it was revealed that Dani Alves is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The full-back, who is expected to miss 10 days with a calf injury joins Victor Valdes, Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Cesc Fabregas and Lionel Messi in the treatment room.
