As we eagerly await the return to Premier League action this weekend, GiveMeSport has provided a recap of the most effective individual players in the division this season.

Courtesy of statistics provided by Opta Sports, and based on the average time taken to score a goal or provide an assist, the top 10 dangermen have been identified in 2013/14.

Despite their lowly league position, Manchester City are the best represented side, with three players featuring on the list, while leaders Arsenal and reigning champions Manchester Untied have two stars each.

The remaining spots are filled by players from Newcastle, Everton and Liverpool, though Luis Suarez doesn't make the cut on the basis that he hasn't played enough minutes (540; equivalent to six games) to make an accurate assessment, even though he's made a sensational return to action, with eight goals and three assists for Brendan Rodgers's side.
