Radamel Falcao can't believe his eyes when he's subbed

GMS has seen its fair share of substitution tantrums down the years and they are not that uncommon, but we're not sure if we've ever seen someone think their eyes were deceiving them when the manager decided it was time for a breather.

AS Monaco spent an awful lot of money on Radamel Falcao when they secured his services from Atletico Madrid this summer, which may be why he looks so baffled when he sees his number held up in front of the dugout, as their Ligue 1 clash with Nantes looked to be heading for a stalemate.

Falcao is so surprised that he is being withdrawn, he even thinks he may be seeing things and needs another couple of glances to really make sure - the look of puzzled disbelief in his face is quite a picture.

Manager Claudio Ranieri later defended the decision by saying the Colombia international had a thigh problem and, by all accounts, he had a pretty dismal game. Ranieri was reprieved to an extent when Falcao's replacement, 17-year-old Anthony Martial, had a hand in the winning goal just a few minutes later
