Usain Bolt has lavished praise on Manchester United boss David Moyes.

The Manchester United fan revealed his frustration at Moyes during the summer as the Red Devils chief failed to strengthen his side's midfield until deadline day.

The Jamaican sprinter called on Moyes to sign a central midfielder, who could 'pass and create opportunities'.

The former Everton boss ended up signing Marouane Fellaini, a move that was applauded by Bolt.

Bolt was also frustrated at Manchester United's poor start to life under Moyes, as the Premier League champions lost three of their first six league games.

The Red Devils have since gone on a 10-match unbeaten run, which has led to Bolt praising the Scottish tactician.

"At first, I was a little upset about how Manchester United began," Bolt told Yahoo! Sport.

"But asking me, and thinking about this: there is a new coach, he's trying to implement his system. It takes time to snap into place.

"But I think the players are used to him now. We're back in the race."

Bolt would have been disappointed with Manchester United's result against Cardiff City on Sunday, as his side conceded a late goal to draw 2-2 with the Bluebirds.

Manchester United's next match is against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night.
