Sonny Bill Williams has confirmed that himself and New Zealand are ready to take on Australia and to lift the Rugby League World Cup one more time, according to The Guardian.
The talented athlete has already won the Rugby Union World Cup back in 2011 with New Zealand as they saw off France in the final but now, the All Black wants more glory come Saturday.
The Southern hemisphere side beat England to reach the final on Saturday; a close encounter which saw the reigning champions grab the win in the dying embers of the game, 20-18; a late try and conversion by Shaun Johnson.
After the game however Williams noted that England should of won the game, as New Zealand got the try due to a high tackle by George Burgess on the heavyweight boxing champion:
"Great credit to England, they probably should have won, but it just shows the character of our side, and our willingness to win."
Both Southern hemisphere sides will play in the final, as New Zealand host Australia, who come into this match having only conceded 22 points in their last five games, with the Aussies last encounter ending in a 64-0 thrashing against Fiji, the second time they've beaten The Bati in this competition.
But the 28-year-old has stated Australia are a strong side; "We are reigning champions, but Australia are a good side, but that's why I am here, to play against the best. Australia are setting the standards at the moment."
Australia, however, have not been beaten in their last six meetings with New Zealand, but the Kiwi states this is a great moment for him and his team:
"These games are a once-in-a-lifetime moments, I am banged up, but I am raring to go," added Williams.
