Ajax fan seriously injured after 10m fall during Barcelona game

An Ajax fan was seriously injured after falling from the stand during his side's Champions League win over Barcelona last night.

Medics attended to him shortly afterwards, and he was then taken away in an ambulance to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.

According to reports, the man fell around 10 metres onto the concrete floor shortly after Ajax had scored their second goal in their 2-1 victory against Barcelona.

Rumours circulated that he had passed away following his fall, however according to Amerstand Police that is not the case.

There is expected to be an update on the man's condition this evening.

Barcelona remain top of Group E despite the defeat, with one game remaining before the knockout stages.
