Manchester United and Chelsea target Ivan Rakitic is 'honoured' to have been linked with a move to the Premier League, reports talkSPORT.

The Sevilla midfielder's agent and brother has revealed talk of his client moving to the Premier League has touched the former Sc£15m Man United & Chelsea target 'honoured' by transfer linkshalke star.

Rakitic, who is valued at £15million, has attracted interest from a number of European sides after putting in a string of impressive performances.

The 25-year-old has alerted the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea by scoring seven goals and claiming five assists in La Liga this season.

Manchester United and Chelsea are set to battle it out for the Croatia international as both David Moyes and Jose Mourinho are keen on signing a central midfielder in January.

Reports earlier this week suggested Liverpool were also interested in signing Rakitic, however both Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be ahead of Brendan Rodgers' side in the race to sign the highly sought-after star.

Rakitic's brother - Dejan - has revealed he is aware Manchester United and Chelsea are both tracking the highly-rated midfielder.

Speaking to TMW, he said: "It's too early to say something concrete. My brother still has a year and a half left on his contract. Chelsea, Manchester United and Lazio are interested in him?

"It's nice that clubs at this level are thinking [about him]. We are honoured."
